Have you ever wondered what you want to be in the future? There are many good professions in the world, one of them is police officer. I would like to learn and work in a police office. Why did this profession attract me?
First of all I would like to explain that my position and opinion about this profession coming from my background. I was born in Republic of Georgia (former part of USSR) on January 24,1994. On January 1995, my father was die and my mother decided to move from Georgia to Russia, because my mother had a problem with Georgian nationalists about Russian ethnicity. When we started living in Russia since my childhood I was attacked by Russian nationalists, because of my Georgian ethnicity. When I was teenager I could understand that nobody can help me and protect me from nationalist attacks. I decided to go to rally and express my political opinion against of government, especially against of Putin`s regime, because government does not protect people from nationalists and support “skinheads”. Nobody wants to hear me and understand that racism is such a terrible thing in the world. Unfortunately, I started having problem everywhere, because of my opposition political opinion. I supported such opposition leaders as Aleksey Navalny, Garry Kasparov and Boris Nemtsov, because I love them ideas of freedom country and equal opportunity to express yourself no mater who you are : black or white, guy or lesbian, baptist or muslim and etc. I had to leave Russia because of my Georgian ethnicity and opposition political opinion. I got political asylum status in the U.S on November 2016.
My background and those situations when people need help and they want to be protected from someone, absolutely impact on me and on my perception. So, why do I want to be a police officer? This profession is necessary and demanded, because there must be order in the country, which means that there is a need for this profession always and everywhere, at any time, in any society. A police officer, risking his life, takes part in capturing highly dangerous and armed criminals, searches for thieves and is engaged in solving serious crimes. The profession of a police officer is very necessary and important in any country, city, town or village.
But each profession has its drawbacks, as well as in the work of a police officer. This is a constant stress, difficult working conditions and long working hours. But this profession is well paid, it can be infinitely proud of, as it is prestigious and very important for society. In this profession, there are also many other advantages: they give out summer and winter uniforms, give vacation vouchers every year, retire early and have a decent salary.
And the functions of the police officer are different: you can serve in the criminal investigation department, the patrol and inspection service, the service of the district police officers, the departments for combating drugs and economic crimes, the customs services. Therefore, there is a great choice on what service to go. Of course, in each of these varieties of police its difficulties. For example, patrol officers on duty in any weather are on duty, a police officer on any call must go to a crime at any time of the day or night, in a criminal wanted list, strong nerves and a strong-willed character are needed.
After weighing all the pros and cons, I`ve decided that this profession is for me! I really want to protect society from crime, meet interesting and smart people. Well, as a girl, I want to try on a beautiful shape.
